Ethics

Putting an AI in front of a human, particularly in a healthcare setting, places enormous responsibility on the parties involved to meet a higher standard than we would with humans. We need to ensure that we are treating our end users with respect, meeting their needs, and honoring their rights.

To this end, we have the following commitments in place:

1. We will never deceive a human about whether or not they are speaking to an AI
2. AIs are prohibited from deviating from their intended role, for instance, to provide medical advice. The exception is that they are allowed to display empathy if a user shares with them
3. We will monitor call transcripts for problematic conduct. Partners will be alerted if a situation is deemed problematic according to the set of their own definition and ours.
4. While we will use calls to improve the service, we obtain a legally binding agreement that user data will not be retained or used for training by external LLM providers
5. A user can stop receiving calls from us on behalf of a client by stating that intention to the AI or informing our client.
